Welcome to the St. Francis choirs page!
This is a great place to look for all the information and development of the various choral and music programs in our parish. Choir rehearsals for the 11:00 a.m. Mass are held Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. in the church and Sunday at 10:15 a.m. in the choir room. Cantors rehearse half an hour before the 5:00 p.m. and 8:30 a.m. Masses.
The St. Francis Adult Choir and instrumentalists are a well-established, yet very open group of members of our parish who are excited about singing together and leading our congregation in worship songs. Currently there are about 25 singers evenly balanced in the 4 SATB parts, 3 trumpeters, 3 keyboard players, 1 violinist, and other instrumentalists. If you have a musical skill and would like to become involved, please contact the choir director, Alvez Barkoskie IV at email address of music@stfrancisokc.com. We are a very welcoming group and excited about continuing to grow our numbers. We are a very close community, almost a family, dedicated to the role we have to lift the congregation in music. Singing together is one of the most powerful spiritual experiences you can enjoy and we look forward to seeing you at Mass!
